Spring & Summer 2024

Welcome to Born Global, where we transform education into an adventure that combines passion, nature, and innovation. Our nonprofit is dedicated to applying nature-based solutions to tackle the world's significant challenges in ecological restoration, environmental technology, and social change making.


We invite high school students to join us in a journey that goes beyond traditional learning, engaging both heart and mind in meaningful action.

High School Program

Spring Program:

Format: On-line & Self Paced
Duration: 1 March, 2024 - 31 May, 2024
Total time commitment: 10 hours
Enrollment Fee: $425

 

Your gateway to discovering nature's innovation, preparing you for a transformative summer.

The Spring Program includes:
 

  • College Counseling & Internship Placement: A 30 minute personal call with Dr. Samaha to discuss your personal project goals within our internship program
     

  • Biomimicry Research Methodology Training: Certification course on applied research methodology using biomimicry principles and critical thinking problem-solving.
     

  • Born Global Short Courses: Unlimited access to our short courses that includes 3-5 hrs of content on topics that can be applied to your capstone projects.

Summer Program

Format:  Hybrid: On-line & in-person courses available

Duration:

  • Term 1: Four weeks from  1 July, 2024 to 26 July, 2024

  • Term 1 + 2: Eight weeks from 1 July, 2024 to 23 August, 2024
     

Expected time commitment: 8-10 hours weekly

  • Group meetings 90 mins time TBD with group

  • One on One mentor meeting - 30 - 60 mins during office hours every week
     

Enrollment Fee (including spring term):

  • Term 1: $ 2700

  • Term 1 + 2: $ 4900

Strengthen your college profile with independent leadership through our nature based research and capstone projects.

The Summer program includes:
 

  • Hands-on Research & Capstone Experience 

    • Individual Research & Capstone Projects: Dive deep into your chosen area, applying biomimicry to your groups project deck.

    • Natural Models Analogy & Application: Apply your research into local projects, highlighting your independent leadership skills in real social impact
       

  • Access to a Global community of experts and peers

    • Interdisciplinary Collaboration with peers and experts for diverse perspectives in problem-solving.

    • Access to international speaker engagements across all projects

    • Weekly Monday Mash-Ups where our entire global community comes together. This will include group presentation skills and breakout sessions to cross-pollinate ideas.
